Scott obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Washington where he made the Dean’s List and became a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon National Economics Honor Society. Scott went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law, which boasts the top-ranked legal writing program in the country. While at Seattle University, Scott focused his studies in the areas of taxation law and business law (completing the Business Law Focus Area). Furthermore, his outstanding scholastic efforts were recognized by his professors as he was presented with the CALI award (awarded to the top law student) in both the Community Development and Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and the Applied Law and Practice Management courses.
During his studies, Scott developed a passion for the intricately complex and ever-evolving nature of taxation law and committed to incorporating taxation law into his legal practice. In order to advance his comprehension of taxation law, he continued his academic pursuits by obtaining an advanced law degree (LL.M.) in taxation from the top-ranked University of Washington School of Law.
Scott grew up in Bellevue, WA and is dedicated to giving back by volunteering legal assistance to low- or moderate-income clients in the University of Washington’s Federal Tax Clinic. Scott spends his free time with his wife and two sons. They are the bedrock of his determination and provide him with continuous inspiration.
